Wake up and smell the bullshit.
Carlin was a classic -- a modern-day prophet. It seems like prophesy always comes in comedic forms now. I wonder whether it's always been that way? Do you think John the Baptist performed stand-up for the masses seeking their messiah? Or what about those guys from the older book -- Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel? Think these Jewish boys were cuttin' up and jokin' around with the people? Surely they had a "shtick" to keep people interested. I wonder... (Please keep the Sunday Classics a standard feature. Something to look forward to...)
One of my favorite rants from America's "Last Prophet" of comedy. This clip should be mandatory viewing in every school. But we know why it will never be so.
